Liisa Walsh, the Director of Product Management at Position Imaging showcases an innovative order fulfilment technology designed to streamline retail pickups. Dubbed “BOPIS solution,” this system integrates seamlessly with point-of-sale (POS) systems, allowing for efficient order preparation and management by staff, referred to as “kickers.” Upon completion, orders are signed into the system, scanned, and customers are notified via text message that their purchase is ready for pickup. Customers can then collect their orders effortlessly by scanning a QR code, which notifies the system of the pickup. This technology, explained by Walsh, aims to enhance the customer experience by reducing wait times and simplifying the pickup process, marking a significant advancement in retail operations.

This is Tim. This is a tracking company, and what we're showing is a bogus fusion. So it uses pick tonight for a customer's self serve pickers. So what I'm gonna show you here is that we've already just in you with a focus for the POS system since the orders are now within the system. So what I'm gonna show you is what it does happens when you are a kicker, a staff member, getting the order ready. So now once I pick my order, I'm ready to go, I have an order number attached to this. We're gonna do sign into the system and deliver into the system. We're gonna scan the order. Understand. And now I'm gonna use a tag to carry. It's raised heat. Once it's there? And then you just keep that for everywhere you're done. And while she stands, now what my system does is send notifications out to the customer. So you're gonna the tax part of me. So now when they get that, the customers can come in on their home and pick up through the same systems. So what we're gonna do is we'll go ahead and gather this. So we wanna get the latest one in here. Okay. So you get a simple text message and we're gonna expand this. And now I'm gonna act as the pass So I'm gonna walk up to the system, and we're gonna scan if you are This is the physical package that's picked up. And then what happens is that that immediately lights the clip. The customer can go right to this truck. Pick it up, and they're done. They can now leave. That was extremely

Nvidia's Next AI Rack Costs Nearly Double the Last One, and Memory Is Why. What Infrastructure Buyers Should Budget For.

Nvidia's Next AI Rack Costs Nearly Double the Last One, and Memory Is Why. What Infrastructure Buyers Should Budget For.

Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin rack will cost hyperscalers $7.8 million—nearly double the prior generation—with memory now accounting for 25-30% of total cost instead of 5-10%. This shift signals that AI infrastructure budgeting must focus on total system cost rather than GPU pricing alone.

  • 01Memory costs jumped 435% to roughly $2 million per rack due to increased LPDDR5X capacity and 3D NAND storage, making it a strategic budget variable across all technology purchases
  • 02GPU share of bill of materials fell from 63% to 51% while memory rose to 25-30%, requiring infrastructure planners to model AI spend on total system cost not accelerator count
  • 03Memory supply constraints and tight availability now warrant the same scheduling and planning attention as GPU allocation, with procurement structure able to move final pricing by $1+ million per rack
