How Will Drones Deliver COVID-19 Tests?

This Friday, on a bonus episode of Drones In America, host Grant Guillot will sit down with DroneUp CEO Tom Walker and Michael Blades, Vice President of Aerospace, Defense, and Security Americas Region for Frost & Sullivan.

DroneUp just announced a partnership with Walmart and Quest Diagnostics to deliver at-home COVID-19 self-collection kits. Walmart has already been experimenting with with the practicality of drone delivery for select grocery and household essential items, but has not advanced past the trial stage. Delivering COVID-19 tests is not only a highly relevant need in our society, but would be a big step forward in analyzing the efficiency of drones in deliveries.

The tests will land on the driveway, sidewalk or backyard of the customer’s home, depending on the layout of the area and nearby obstacles like trees, cars or other homes.

Guillot will sit down with Walker to discuss how DroneUp gained the confidence of one of the country’s largest retailers to deliver by drones and what customers can expect.

Tune in Friday to Watch the Full Interview!
