September 2024 Update on Applied Digital’s Cutting-Edge Ellendale AI Data Center

In the September update, we get an exciting sneak peek at the progress of the utility substation and three levels of Applied Digital’s Ellendale AI Data Center in North Dakota. This cutting-edge facility, spanning 363,000 square feet and built to handle a 100MW IT load, is designed to meet the intense demands of AI technologies.

The first level is dedicated to critical utilities, which form the backbone of the facility’s robust infrastructure, ensuring reliable and uninterrupted operations. On the second and third levels, we see expansive data halls, each supporting 50MW IT loads. These levels are optimized for high-performance computing environments, offering scalable resources to handle the ever-growing requirements of AI-driven workloads.

Additionally, the facility incorporates advanced liquid cooling systems, leveraging North Dakota’s naturally cold climate for enhanced energy efficiency and sustainability. As construction advances, the Ellendale AI Data Center is on track to set new benchmarks in AI infrastructure, reflecting Applied Digital’s ongoing commitment to innovation.
