Soccer is among the most timeless and traditional of sports but at least one league is on the cutting edge of a new technology.

VfL Wolfsburg, a club in Germany’s Bundesliga, debuted a 5G technology to improve the fan experience at its home stadium. The league partnered with Vodafone to develop an app that allows spectators to track players and view stats in real-time on their smart devices.
