Extra Innings with Anastasia Hamilton of the AAA Affiliate for the Atlanta Braves

Extra Innings gives you exclusive behind-the-scenes looks and commentary on MarketScale’s Welcome to the Show, a reality television series that follows the Savannah Bananas, the collegiate summer league baseball team that is changing the sport with their brand of Fan-First Entertainment. On this episode, we chat with Anastasia Hamilton, Social Media Coordinator for the Gwinnett Stripers, the AAA Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.
She gives us her thoughts on the complete series and how her desires for a front office MiLB reality show finally came ture. Hamilton gives us a unique perspective, looking into how social media, community engagement and digital presence is affecting MiLB and how the Stripers capture that message. She also explains some of her favorite on-the-field experiences from the Savannah Bananas, why social media is so effective as a “trial run” for a team’s community image, and why the best social media content happens in the park.

On opening day, the Savannah Bananas’ front office staff is running out of time. More than 4,000 fans stand outside the gates hours before first pitch. The supporters have high expectations not only for the team, but the entertainment production that has been promised to them. The Bananas welcome their in-state rival, the Macon Bacon, to Grayson Stadium for the first game of the 2018 season and energy at the park is high among spectators, players and staffers.
