Watch: The Construction Industry Is Pushing Digitization

Analysts suggest that the value of global construction in 2025 will be around $15 trillion, compared to around $9 trillion currently- driving construction companies to pioneer the use of new technologies. Construction companies have begun to automate administrative processes and provide customers with self-service tools to meet demand without a larger sales force.

80% of building contractors expect that Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) technologies will be critical for automated and predictive sales and customer service orders in the future. In the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), as many as 91% of the construction companies surveyed assume that they will be selling their entire product portfolio online in the future. One-third of them will soon be offering their products via mobile apps as well.
