FlexFilter™ is an Expandable, Flexible Replacement Air Filter System

(Kinston, NC)—Field Controls develops and manufactures products that control, move, and improve the quality of air. One of our most effective products is our FlexFilter™ media air filter. Each manufacturer has their own unique air filters configurations, which makes it difficult for HVAC service companies to keep the right filters in stock. That’s why Field Controls offers the patented FlexFilter™, an ultra-compact, easy-to-assemble media air filter and cleaner that replaces over 40 of the most popular name-brand whole house filter models.

FlexFilter™ Makes Your Job and Life Easier

If you’re an HVAC contractor or service technician, you know how difficult it is to stay on top of all the filter models offered by equipment manufacturers. First, you can waste valuable time just trying to track down a manufacturer’s specific filter. Then there’s the issue of trying to keep all those bulky filters in your service vehicle, where they take up valuable space and can be easily damaged. FlexFilter™ helps solve these issues by allowing you to conveniently have all the filter solutions you need on hand in less space. With just 9 FlexFilter™ models, you’ll always have the exact replacement to fit home air filters from all manufacturers, including Aprilaire, Honeywell, Carrier, Bryant, Trion, Ultravation, GeneralAire, Skuttle, as well as other brands. FlexFilters™ install in seconds, and most can be configured for two sizes with a patented 2-in-1 expandable filter design.

Replacements for Honeywell Filters

The Flex-3 and Flex-4 filters are a direct replacement for 12 different Honeywell filters. Follow our FlexFilter™ Replacement Guide to determine which FlexFilter™ fits each air cleaner model.

Replacements for Aprilaire Filters

Color-Coded for Easy Reference

FlexFilter™ uses color-coded graphics to make replacement simple. These colors allow you to cross-reference the available nine models to all major air cleaner brands in the market today.

  • Green: Field Controls, Skuttle, GeneralAire, Trion, Ultravation
  • Red: Honeywell, Carrier, Bryant
  • Blue: Aprilaire

MERV 11 Filtration

FlexFilters™ feature high-efficiency MERV 11 Media with very low pressure drop. MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value and is used to indicate how well an air filter catches particles in your home’s air. MERV 11 Media captures all major allergy activators such as pollen, dust, mold spores, and pet dander.

Improved Inventory Management

When you use FlexFilter™, you have the peace of mind knowing you always have the right filter on hand. Stocking, storing, shipping, and installing media air cleaners is simple.

Compact Design Protects Filter from Damage

Boxy cartridge replacement filters are bulky and easily damaged. That’s why FlexFilter™ uses a compact, expandable design that takes up very little space. Additionally, each unit is shrink-wrapped to help reduce damage on the truck.

Disposable Bag Included

FlexFilters™ are designed to be easily assembled and even include a bag to cleanly dispose of the dusty old filter, so dirt isn’t tracked through the customer’s home.
