PRES-FLEX VENT HOSE FILM SLITTING CAPABILITIES

Manufacturers of slit hoses need a film material that is durable. They also need it supplied in a form that can help them manufacture their products in an efficient manner to help minimize costs. To address these needs, Presco developed a slitting capability that is unique to a film manufacturer. Let’s take a look.

Vent film is an essential component in the manufacturing of dryer hoses, sewer hoses, and air ducts. The film contains moving air and liquids, so it must be durable. That’s why Pres-Flex manufactures our vent hose film with a state-of-the-art extrusion process and quality control designed to reduce the risk for pinholes in films as thin as .004″.  In addition, our vent film is uniquely formulated to be flame retardant and to meet stringent anti-microbial specifications. Best of all, Pres-Flex vent hose film is 100% recyclable.

In addition, slit hose customers need large diameter rolls to feed their equipment to minimize the amount of changeover during manufacturing. To address this need, Presco developed an internal slitting capability for large diameter film rolls by investing in advanced Dusenbery slitting equipment.

Presco has the ability to take roll diameters as large as 23.5″ and slit them to widths as small as 1.25″ with a tolerance of +/- 1/32”. Individual roll packaging is available with 3” cores. We also offer custom emboss patterns to help maximize manufacturing efficiencies.

This year, Presco celebrates its 75thanniversary as a premier manufacturer of high-quality film products. For over 30 years, Presco has been formulating vent hose film for dryer hoses, sewer hoses, and air ducts with precision slitting capabilities that are unique to the industry.
