WHY YOU’LL WANT TO VISIT PRESCO AT THE 2018 IFAI EXPO

This year’s Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) Expo starts October 15, in Dallas. This is the premier event for the industrial fabric industry. With over 12,000 specialty fabrics and advanced textiles attendees, this is the show to be at to learn and discover what’s new. Presco is proud to be a part of the event, exhibiting at booth A2313.

We’re even more excited about this year’s event as we’re located just down the road in Sherman, TX. We moved from Dallas to Sherman in 1989 to allow us to expand our capabilities. Today, we have two facilities in Sherman where we manufacture flexible PVC, EVA and alloys. The facilities house three PVC extruders and custom-designed marking product machines. Every day, we have hardworking, dedicated employees creating quality products. We are excited to share them with you at IFAI.

Here’s why you’ll want to spend time with us at IFAI.

First, you’ll be able to see our Pres-Flex EVA Film.

This innovative product delivers an alternative to flexible PVC. EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), part of the member of the polyolefin family, is derived from random copolymerization of vinyl acetate and ethylene. When PVC isn’t an option because of regulatory concerns, EVA is the best option, as it doesn’t contain plasticizers. It’s also a great option when the job requires a tough material that is cold crack resistant. It performs well in RF and heat-sealing.

Where can Pres-Flex EVA be used?

  • Medical bags
  • Inflatables
  • PVC-free consumer goods

Next, you’ll be able to see our PVC/TPU alloy blends.

While vinyl has dynamic performance, it sometimes needs the boost of another polymer. When we blend PVC with other polymers, it enhances physical attributes while keeping costs low. The alloy material has excellent abrasion tolerance, tear strength and elongation. These alloys are also effective in colder climates.

Then, check out our custom formulations.

We have the capabilities to create custom formulations based on a client’s need. We use a dry-blend compounding process. Different specialty resins and plasticizers are often part of the formula. You can even get heavy metal-free, DEHP-free, and phthalate-free formulations. Additives like flame retardants, antimicrobials, and UV stabilizers are available, too. Color matching is no problem—we employ an in-house lab extruder to match Pantone colors.

Finally, examine our extrusion-based lamination.

With our extrusion-based lamination, we combine our Pres-Flex engineered film with a substrate in one manufacturing process. The fabric melds with the vinyl as it exits the die in molten form. Then it’s rolled and ready to go. You can receive rolls of up to 80”.

This year’s IFAI is sure to be an outstanding show, and we look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. You’ll love what we have to offer the fabric world. Remember to stop by booth A2313. We’ll see you in Dallas.
