Managing Director RoseWater Energy Group
Joseph Piccirilli is an accomplished consultant, strategist, and speaker with four decades of experience that spans across the consumer electronics, systems integration, and energy industries. In his current capacity at RoseWater Energy Group, he oversees the manufacturing, sales, and distribution of leading new technology for residential power storage and handling efforts.
Piccirilli has served as President of the Academy for the Advancement of High-Performance Audio and Video; was voted as one of the Top 20 Most Influential People of the Past 20 Years by CE Pro magazine, was voted one of the ten best instructors of the decade by the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA); and has also been listed among the 50 most vital influencers in the custom installation industry by CustomRetailer Magazine.
Piccirilli was one of the founders of Sound Advice, a publicly held upscale consumer electronics retail company that grew to nearly $25 million in annual volume and 25 locations under his leadership. Piccirilli has developed successful product marketing and distribution strategies as a consultant for Sony, Texas Instruments, Iomega, Infinity, Polk, Denon, Virtual Listening Systems, Cambridge Soundworks, Dolby Laboratories, Ultimate Electronics, United Audio, Magnolia Hi-Fi, and Sound Advice. During his time as a consultant, Piccirilli recognized the lack of distribution networks in the rapidly growing custom installation market. That realization is what led him to help found AVAD, which he grew to over $200 million in sales through 30 North American warehouses. Today, AVAD is recognized as North America’s leading distributor of home technology products and the most complete home integrations solutions provider in the country. He served as the Executive Vice President of AVAD, during which time he arranged and negotiated the company’s sale to Fortune 100 Company Ingram MicroSystems.
