Advancing Automation: An Overview of CGS Precision Technologies

Thanks to a demand for automation that has only increased in recent years, Calvary Robotics and its subsidiary companies have flourished and broken into new markets.

But for those companies interested in opening up a relationship with Calvary Robotics, what can they expect?

Here to shed some light on the topic is Steve Hayward, the general manager of CGS Precision Technologies. Boasting a successful career in manufacturing that started in the mid-70s, Hayward worked on the Calvary side of the business for six years before managing CGS today.

“From the outside, CGS looks like many machine shops throughout the country,” Hayward explained. “What makes CGS unique is actually our connection with Calvary Robotics.”

Although the company first started out with a focus in sourcing, it has since become a “full-service solutions provider” offering everything from sourcing to machining, programming, project management and quality inspection.

The unique challenges that come from working with a variety of organizations in a range of markets have helped to strengthen CGS, as well. Today, they lend much of their support to companies in the aerospace industry and many of the Fortune 100 companies in the U.S.

So why should companies choose CGS over their competitors?

“What makes CGS unique is the fact that we’re able to offer a low-cost solution compared to our competitors,” Hayward said. He added that their team in Malaysia enables them to “supply high-precision parts at a reasonable cost” while their large, U.S.-based vendor network allows them to offer a wide range of components to their clients.

As artificial intelligence moves deeper into enterprise operations, many organizations are discovering that the real challenge is not adoption, but control.
