How IoMT is Changing Sick-Care to Health-Care with Dr. Arlen Meyers of the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs

 

There’s an old saying about closing a barn door after the horses are already out (or something like that). Healthcare has recently taken on that image. On today’s podcast, Sean Heath spoke with Dr. Arlen Meyers from the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs. They discussed the push to preventative care, how IoMT is helping revolutionize that process, and how the industry needs to do a better job of utilizing the data they have. “I would make the argument (and have made the argument) that no industry, including sick-care, can be fixed from inside,” Meyers said. “There are very, very few examples of industries that have transformed themselves from inside, without, instead they’ve responded to external stimuli or external technologies that have been imposed on that industry. And the examples are just endless.”
