The annual Dayton Hamvention is the largest amateur radio event in the country. It brings together hundreds of vendors, showcases thousands of exhibits, and connects dozens of amateur radio enthusiasts from all over. The three-day event, from May 19-21, was at the Greene County Expo Center in Xenia, Ohio.

At this year’s show there were many guests, which included Ray Novak, who is the Senior Sales Manager at Icom America Inc. within the company’s Amateur, Marine, Aviation and Receiver products, spoke at the event for an Icom episode. He chatted with the event’s broadcast host and even with almost three decades of experience, of course, Novak kept up with the theme of an amateur guest.
