SCN’s Top Systems Integrators 2022: What Does the List Tell Us About the Market?
SCN’s Top Systems Integrators 2022 has published its latest edition. The ProAV industry had to rapidly adjust throughout the covid-19 pandemic and for some, it’s starting to pay off. In Systems Contractor News’ recently published Top 50 list, a new company took the top as a reshuffling occurred across the menu.
Some brands posted strong rankings, which were to be expected – including Electrosonic and AVI Systems. But what does this tell us about the market direction? Well, for one, not all ProAV companies are focused on the market at large, which means smaller, more regional areas are taking on new innovations and diverse projects.
Here to share his thoughts on SCN’s top systems integrators list is the Head of ProAV at MarketScale, Ben Thomas.
Ben’s Thoughts:
“It’s official! I got the SCN in the mail earlier this week for the top 50 integrators list. And obviously, it’s always a lot of fun to read through and then see some of the same names, especially the ones in the top 20 companies, that really have taken a massive hold in the market share. Companies like Electrosonic, CTSI, Avadex, AVI-SPL AVI Systems, are the biggest names in the world. I think it’s fun too, not only at the top of the list where there’s a lot of acquisition happening and reshuffling at the top five to 10.
But I love seeing those, 30 through 50, right? Some of those smaller, more regional companies. And I think it gives us a really good indication of where the market’s headed. Whether it’s it and network heavy integrators or more regional, Integrators who focus on things like education, technology, or hospitality.
I think it’s a really good indicator for us and it’s very important to stay in the know on that. Obviously, as some of the bigger integrators have seen over the years and they take some of the bigger projects, it’s always nice to be able to look and say, Hey if we pulled this marketing or we started reaching out to courtrooms for example and finding different ways to help support different verticals inside the AV industry I think it’s always a really good tell. I encourage you to read it. Always a great read. Shout out to the folks over at SCN for another good issue this year.”
