AVIXA and ALSD Partner to Enhance the AV Experience in Venues Around the World

AVIXA, the AudioVisual and Integrated Experience Association, is partnering with the Association of Luxury Suite Directors (ALSD) to bring awareness of the benefits of integrated audiovisual experiences in arena and stadium design. According to AV Magazine, one consequence of the partnership will be that “AVIXA will host panels and roundtable discussions at the 2018 ALSD Sports Venue Design & Build Forum, on 25-26 June in Atlanta, and at InfoComm 2018 from 2-8 June in Las Vegas.” This will expand AVIXA’s reach from retail, hospitality, higher education, and banking to sports venues and arenas.

According to AVIXA, “Established in 1939, AVIXA has more than 5,400 members, including manufacturers, systems integrators, dealers and distributors, consultants, programmers, rental and staging companies, technology managers, IT professionals, content producers, and multimedia professionals from more than 80 countries.” In additional to representing the AV industry, AVIXA produces the international InfoComm trade shows and co-owns Integrated Systems Europe.

ALSD is a platform in which suite directors and team and facility executives can share ideas and information to maximize quality and profitability. With marketing and advertising programs, ALSD links buyers and sellers to help create the best experience for patrons and outlets alike. For this reason, ALSD partnered with AVIXA, as AV is central to providing patrons with a great experience regardless of venue.

Through this partnership, AVIXA will sponsor ALSD’s Spotlight Awards, “which recognize leaders in stadium and arena design,” as well as introduce new award categories. In addition, “AVIXA CEO Labuskes assumes a seat on the board of the ALSD Sports Venue Design & Build Forum,” allowing a more fully integrated business partnership than most. Each association gathers a wide variety of businesses with common interests, and these ensembles create even larger heterogeneous groups, which can work together to create improved experiences for businesses and customers alike.
