Diversified COO Discusses Digitavia Acquisition at InfoComm 2018

InfoComm is in full swing this year and MarketScale got a look at some of the companies showcasing. Kevin Collins, President of Diversified, an engineering driven sales organization, is an industry leader in AV and IT engineering. Collins sat down with us to talk a little more about Diversified’s recent acquisition and the moves it is making in expanding its market to a larger audience.

Collins sees Infocomm as a convention that gathers together companies at the forefront of the digital IP revolution.

“IP is becoming the fabric we all work off of, so it’s exciting to see the transition going on currently in our industry,” he said.

When asked about its recent acquisition of Digitavia, an AV solutions company in the United Kingdom, Collins seemed hopeful in the opportunities this buyout can open.

“Our strategy is to also focus outside the US. Our enterprise customers are asking to deliver global solutions with predictable results. Rather than doing it with partners, we’re excited to grow it organically in-house,” he said.

In terms of future growth, this acquisition is going to help substantially broaden Diversified’s reach.

“Part of delivering solutions in EMEA is having that support team… they’re going to help us bring a focus into the collaboration in huddle space with large scale rollouts at a very high level,” he said.

With the expansion into Europe and Asia, the feedback from the solutions Diversified is releasing has been phenomenal according to Collins.

“We’re not a marketing company, we really are a technology company,” he stated.
