Made In America: Ergo Robotic Solutions

January 21, 2020

At Ergo Robotic Solutions, innovation is continuously merging with tradition.

Located in Queensbury, New York, the cutting-edge robotics solutions pumped out at Ergo echo the manufacturing history of the region, giving the company a strong reason to remain Made in America.

In this episode, MarketScale’s Daniel Litwin travels to Queensbury to get inside look at the manufacturing heritage that makes Ergo – and its machines – tick.

“The nice thing [on top of the area’s natural beauty] is that we’re just a few hours away from some major metro areas where a lot of business is happening,” said Alan Nudi, Ergo Director of Sales and Marketing. “We’re able to get away from it all, but we’re close enough where we can service some really big customers.”

Being “right-around-the-corner”, has helped Ergo continue to be an integral part of not only the company’s local community, but the wider world of business in the region.

Litwin explores how Ergo takes client needs from initial conversation to delivery, working through a timeline with little room for error, particularly when costly machinery needs to find its way across thousands of miles.

Though the Ergo workshop is full of handmade charm and years of experience, Litwin also discovers that the process of taking a solution from customer vision to reality is chock-full of computer-led processes that place Ergo firmly at the leading edge of 21st-century design and machining.

“In many ways, there is a similar availability of machinery in many parts of the world,” Nudi said. “What makes us unique is the fact that we design and build it all right here in one place.” By keeping everything within the walls of their Queensbury warehouse, Ergo can offer what others can’t – being a true partner in finding a custom solution.

So how does the culture and history of the city of Queensbury blend with Ergo’s DNA to produce a product that’s truly Made in America? Watch now.
