The Big Game saw an overnight rating of 47.4, down almost 3% compared to 2017’s 48.8. In the history of the Game, this year ranked 9th for the largest viewership. The halftime show’s ratings jumped slightly above the Game’s average, a trend that’s been developing for the past 5 years. Viewership hit a nightly high during the thrilling fourth quarter, peaking at around 52.2, according to Nielsen.
