Pilots Fired For Fight That Left The Cockpit Empty
A pair of pilots for India’s Jet Airways have been terminated following a fight had mid-flight on New Year’s Day. After a scuffle, the cockpit was left empty while the instigator pursued his co-pilot into the galley. Reports from the airline show that the pair had had disagreements in the past, though now both have been fired. 2017 was the safest year on record for commercial air transport, but incidents like this show the need for constant vigilance from airline authorities.
