Dr. Paula Love Discusses the Benefits of Grants for Schools on “School Safety Today”

[Houston, TX] – On an episode of “School Safety Today,” host Michelle Dawn Mooney welcomed expert Dr. Paula Love to discuss the importance of grants for schools. Dr. Love is an author, founder of RFP Match, and has over three decades of experience in the education field, specializing in grant-writing.

The two explored the different types of grants available for schools, including competitive and formula grants. They also discussed the eligibility criteria for specific grants for schools, such as programs for special needs students and school safety.

According to Dr. Love, “State grants are so good right now and the reason that I say that is it gives us [more of a] window…At the federal level, and you’re competing for this money, there may only be a few winners. At state levels like what we’re seeing in Texas and other states, the opportunity to go after those is even greater.”

Dr. Love emphasized the importance of schools understanding the application process and matching their needs to the criteria outlined in grant requirements in order to increase their chances of winning a grant. Grants can help schools implement more educational and extracurricular programs, hire more staff, and have a major impact on the quality of education provided.
