Lightfair 2019 opened its doors in Philadelphia this morning, welcoming in the lighting and design industry’s most influential brands and executives among thousands of attendees.

The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (@discoverPHL) captured the moment the show opened and provided a glimpse into what is going on at the event.

The event is the largest architectural and commercial lighting design conference of the year, and will run until May 23. New educational sessions include a forum on IoT and connected lighting devices. There will also be new courses in the Light and Health Forum.

UPDATE

Autani, LLC sent MarketScale a look at its people counting and space management tracker from the show floor at the show. Digital tools like this help retailers better react to customers in real time and give a true sense of the most-trafficked areas of a store on a daily basis.
