Born: 1959, Utrecht Netherlands. Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Maritime Academy Delfzijl, Netherlands. Worked as Chief Engineer on Merchant Navy vessels from 1978 up to 1988 Worked for Trane Airconditioning Netherlands in Service, Design and Sales up to 1995. Started my own company in 1995, Horos Klimaattechniek BV, for the Sales, Design, Production and Service of special HVAC and Industrial cooling equipment (oil and gas applications, ATEX and special Engineering) up to 2008.
One of the founders of KyotoCooling company and designer of all mechanical solutions, in the US up to 2013 and again actively involved in the US design since 2017 and for all global projects since the start of the company in 2008.
We designed and build our data center solution in both North and South America, China, Russia, Europe, Australia, Japan and South Africa. One of the patent holders of the KyotoCooling patent.
I am married to Inge and we have 5 son’s that are all grown up and work in very different professions. We are living in Houten a small town in the center of the Netherlands that is 30 minutes out from our office and 45 minutes to Schiphol airport to fly out to our global customers.
In my spare time we travel to visit nature and cultures around the globe, and I enjoy photography and reading.
