How the LINQ Revolutionized the Future of Las Vegas Sports Books

When The LINQ, a 2,640-room hotel, casino and entertainment hub on the Las Vegas Strip, needed a way to provide guests the best game day experience in the world, they turned to McCann Systems.

In turn, McCann turned to Unilumin.

The LINQ needed a solution for “The Book,” the venue’s brand-new sports-viewing experience designed to provide an impactful experience unlike any other.

“It’s unlike anything else you’ve ever seen before,” said Matthew Kenagy, Senior Director of Sports Marketing for Caesars Entertainment Corporation, which owns and operates The LINQ. “We started with the idea of, ‘What do you love about watching the game at home?’”

That vision resulted in a solution that allows guests to rent on-site “living rooms,” control up to six individual screens and the audio associated with each, play video games, watch games in virtual reality, and more.

Implementing that kind of revolutionary, interactive and innovative solution wouldn’t have been possible without cutting-edge products from a partner like Unilumin.

Unilumin’s LED solutions now power immersive, sharable experiences at The LINQ that resonate with a growing segment of casino-goers.

The ambitious, integrated installation features unique geometry that pushes the boundaries of traditional LED mounting, large, outdoor marquees, an LED tunnel in the entrance of The LINQ, LED ceiling features, and more.

“The Book is great. From a guest-experience standpoint, it’s where you want to hang out all day,” said Matt Wilson, McCann Systems Director of Marketing. “Some of the goals of the space for Caesars Entertainment were to make this a destination that people wanted to experience, not just a sports book with a TV and an odds board and some wagering that you can do. … The LED acts as a digital canvas.”
