Watch: Is A 3D Phone on the Horizon
RED Digital Cinema is set to debut a smartphone dubbed the “RED Hydrogen One” at AT&T and Verizon stores this summer. The company that specializes in professional high-end cameras is trying their hand in the consumer market. The phone is rumored to be equipped with what RED calls a holographic display, and is capable of displaying 3D content without glasses or a VR headset. The phone will have a 5.7-inch holographic display, and also has the option to attach external accessories via a pogo pin system. Last year, RED offered consumers a chance to pre-order the device for $1200, but will likely drop before its release. Tech of the future, engage!
