Watch: Unilever Threatens to Pull Ads from Google & Facebook
The consumer good giant threatened to pull investment from Facebook and Google. Unilever said they will remove their ads unless digital platforms remove content that isn’t transparent and fails to protect children. Unilever, as a trusted advertiser, does not want to advertise on platforms which do not make a positive contribution to society. Unilever CMCO Keith Weed said it is also committed to tackling gender stereotypes in advertising and that it will only cooperate with organizations with a positive impact.
