Watch: European regulators are eyeing Apple’s acquisition of Shazam

Last December, Apple shared news of its acquisition of the music discovery app, Shazam. Now, seven member countries of the EU have requested regulators examine the deal, citing competition concerns. Though details on the transaction weren’t public, reports say that the Shazam pricetag rang in at $400 million. Spotify still dominates the music streaming market, though this acquisition may bring Apple Music one step closer to the top spot.
