Carnival Set to Begin Resuming Cruises in August
Carnival is set to Resume Some Cruises in August. The cruise line announced that eight of its ships will resume trips starting August 1. According to Reuters, those ships depart from Miami and Port Canaveral, Florida, and Galveston, Texas. All other North American and Australian cruises will remain suspended for the time being. “We will be taking a measured approach to resuming sailing later this summer, phasing in some cruises starting in August,” said Carnival, via a statement.
“We will use this extended pause to continue to identify and implement additional protocols, so we can safely welcome you back soon, Carnival, via a statement. On Friday, the U.S. House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure called for Carnival to share documents related to its response to previous COVID-19 outbreaks on other ships. Our goal is the same as the committee’s goal: to protect the health, safety and well-being of our guests and crew, along with compliance and environmental protection,” said Carnival, via a statement.
