Delta Releases Social Distancing Seating Plan
Delta Releases Social Distancing Seating Plan. Last month, Delta started blocking all middle seats from being booked. Now, some window and aisle seats will be restricted as well. Half of available seats in first class will now be blocked off. In the main coach area, 40 percent of seats have been deemed unavailable. Passengers will be able to see which seats are not available when booking and checking in.
Facemasks are also now required for travelers aboard Delta planes. According to ‘People,’ aircrafts of all sizes will see the new seating rules implemented. This includes smaller planes that have a 2×2 seat setting. Limiting the number of people you pass on the way to your seat and providing you with additional space is a priority, Delta CEO Ed Bastian, via letter. ‘People’ adds that Delta’s social distancing measures are in effect through the end of June.
