Madelyn Trupkin Herzfeld is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Carevive Systems, Inc. The Carevive Care Planning System (CPS)™ technology collects and analyzes patient-reported and clinical data to draft personalized care plans that support patients through their cancer journey. We leverage state-of-the-art technology and world-class cancer researchers to support cancer providers in the clinic and then offer insights regarding the data they have collected to continuously improve patient outcomes.
Madelyn was the Founder, President, and General Manager of the Institute for Medical Education & Research, Inc. (IMER), where she led the development of accredited oncology continuing education/continuing medical education programs. IMER was sold in 2007 to United Biosource Corporation, which was acquired by Medco Health Solutions (2010) and later Express Scripts Corporation (2011).
She began her career at Bear, Stearns & Co. as a financial analyst in its investment banking healthcare services/pharmaceutical group and subsequently served as an associate for Pinnacle Partners, a boutique investment bank focused on middle-market healthcare service companies.
Ms. Herzfeld is currently a Board member of Debbie’s Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer (DDF), a non-profit organization dedicated to raising stomach cancer awareness. She also served on the Board of Directors for FertileHOPE, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to providing reproductive information, support and hope to cancer patients and survivors whose medical treatments present the risk of infertility. Her tenure was complete when FertileHOPE was acquired by LIVESTRONG.
Ms. Herzfeld earned dual degrees in business (concentration: Health Care Public Policy and Management) and nursing from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and School of Nursing, respectively.
