Run the Pass: Bringing Sizzle to the Commercial Cookware Market

August 25, 2020
Andre Natera

On this episode of MarketScale’s Run the Pass, host and Executive Chef Andre Natera brought in globally recognized kitchen supply entrepreneur Jake Kalick to see if the sizzle surrounding Made In, a premium cookware company, is the real deal.

Motivated by a family history spanning over 100 years in the kitchen supply business, Kalick set out to rethink how the industry approaches its toolset. Originally focusing on the at-home cook, Made In quickly gained popularity in restaurant kitchens around the world, including three-star Michelin kitchens such as Chicago’s Alinea and New York City’s Le Bernardin.

Betting on this acceptance from some of the greatest kitchens around the world, Made In began listening to what chefs had to say, then designing products around their needs.

Made In has now brought notable chefs into the company’s entire product creation process, with a vision to become a mainstay with stories to be told across the food and beverage industry.

Next time Only on Run the Pass

Chef Andre Natera will be back as he invites the CEO of Food Related, Luciano Ciociari into his kitchen to design the perfect charcutterie board and to learn how Luciano has revitalized his family company to ensure its growth for future generations.
