A new study by confirm what we already know about grocery multichannel or omnichannel environment. E commerce sales are gonna grow faster. Faster. In store, our in person sales are gonna grow slower. And that's the trend that has been happening post COVID. However, what has accelerated really fast is the online buy online, pick up in store, and deliver home components of the omnichannel environment. So grocery retailers should start embracing e commerce more and more and try to cater to the friction free, convenient experience that the customer increasingly demands. And they can look for their own first party solutions or third party solutions looking at the merits and demerits of both. The advantages of first party solutions is that grocery retailers can have data about their customers and have control, can personalize their offerings. The advantage of third party solution is that it may be cheaper for smaller grocery retailers and it will also be quicker to implement. Either way, they have to embrace themselves for for the next generation of e commerce, which will involve embedding AI solutions, particular gen AI solutions that would call for increasing personalization of solutions. So grocery retailers should embrace themselves to move much forward to gain competitive advantage in the coming years by moving more and more towards e commerce.
