Is Walmart’s Future as a Service Provider?

 

Speed is king in retail, and Walmart’s new GoLocal service raises the stakes in competition with Amazon, offering businesses a white label delivery service with logistics and drivers included. Other large retailers are struggling to keep pace with Walmart’s network, considering 90% of Americans live within 10 minutes of one of their locations. But is Walmart’s retail future closer to being a service provider than the leader in big box retail? We asked Jennifer Ruscin, Retail Expert and host of Bricks & Clicks, to give her take on the retailer’s future.
