Walgreens Announces Drone Delivery Partnership

Delivery has become a significant differentiator for restaurants and retailers alike in 2019, but it seems to be on the verge of truly taking flight.

That’s because Walgreens has announced a partnership with Alphabet Inc.-owned Wing Aviation, LLC, to begin tests for product delivery to customers. Wing is a drone company that specializes in the delivery of products.

On Business Casual, Daniel Litwin and Geoffrey Short examined what challenges the companies will have to overcome and what a successful launch would mean for retailers and consumers across the U.S.

Testing of the technology will begin in Christianburg, Virginia next month.
