Disney Bring Back Bob Iger to Tackle COVID-19
On this Business Casual segment, host of Secure the Bag, Taylor Bagley, follows up on a previous break down he did on the departure of Bob Iger from Disney earlier this year. Roughly six weeks after leaving the post to become Executive Chairman, Iger is now back as acting CEO of Disney in response to the major hits the company has taken during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Iger recently told The New York Times that “he stepped up, after handing the CEO reins to Bob Chapek, the former head of the parks and resorts business, because Disney is being crushed by the impact of the coronavirus.”
“A crisis of this magnitude, and its impact on Disney, would necessarily result in my actively helping Bob [Chapek] and the company contend with it, particularly since I ran the company for 15 years!”
So what exactly has happened to Disney since the outbreak has started? Bagley breaks it down and lets us know if Disney will secure the bag coming out of this pandemic.
