Holiday Travel in 2019 By The Numbers

In the next several days more than 100 million Americans will travel throughout the country. Whether they drive, fly or go by train, the sheer total of passengers will set a record this year. These numbers come courtesy of a new report from the American Automobile Association.

While these statistics are related to transportation, these many millions of people will have a major impact on hotels, restaurants, retail stores and much more. However, with access to better data than ever before, businesses can equip themselves to handle this surge of travelers. Everything from price of hotels to the amount of excess materials and food needed in customer-facing businesses will be taken into account.

Business Casual hosts Tyler Kern and Geoffrey Short look at the numbers and see how they stack up to the historical data. What does the last decade of economic growth correlate to travel? Kern and Short will also go over some of their personal holiday travel experiences!
